Very nice to spend a rainy Sunday here in Berlin reading 'Slow Devon & Exmoor', Hilary. Good to learn the origin of the bus shelter in Uffculme, that the Seaton Tramway still survives and that Torquay is very like Switzerland (except that Torquay does not have any mountains and Switzerland has no sea). Wonderful book, Hilary.

Thank you! Since writing the blog I’ve done my research properly and am reassured about the tree (and have found out a bit more about its history). So thanks for contacting me. I love your village! Hilary Bradt
