Hilary Bradt MBE is a travel writer, broadcaster, publisher and tour guide who has travelled widely and adventurously during the last 40 years. She is the cofounder of Bradt Travel Guides which specialises in guidebooks to unusual destinations.
Her talks are entertaining and informative on a wide range of subjects, generally using colour slides. Her work as a tour leader brings her back to the world’s most beautiful places year after year, allowing her to select from a wide range of excellent photographs.
Hilary has lectured in the USA (Smithsonian Institution), Canada, Australia and throughout the British Isles including the Royal Geographical Society, the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (four tours), as well as on expedition ships. She broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 4 on travel-related issues.
